“Language, rhythm, color, life!” is the creative philosophy that drives this presenter. Join Matthew as he shares creative ideas for adding rock, rap and jazz chants to storytime. Movement and body percussion too, from Latin clave to odd time signatures. Matthew is best known for his Jazz Fly series but many of his other award-winning books also provide musical and cross-cultural enrichment. Za-bim, za-bop. Get ready to be-bop!

About Matthew Gollub

Matthew Gollub is an internationally-known children’s author who has performed at over 1,000 schools. A dynamic drummer and trilingual presenter (English / Spanish / Japanese), he inspires teachers and students to bring stories to life. His 20 picture books have garnered dozens of awards and distinctions. While his musical narrations accompany some of his most popular books, including The Jazz Fly series, he also has written traditional picture books set in cultures where he has lived. Matthew is based in Santa Rosa, California, north of the Golden Gate Bridge.
