At the same time, it is an excellent tool for very young kids, or for therapy/special needs. These tuned squeezes match the color schemes of our other Boomwhackers® and CHROMA-NOTES® products.

Soundbellows® close a gap in educational instruments used for making music in the classroom. The "handy" instruments ideally complement Orff instruments and Boomwhackers®, two of the most dynamic names in modern music teaching. Differentiated playing with varying sound lengths and volume levels is an important quality in making music with Soundbellows®. Group play of the Soundbellows® provide a unique additional timbre to a musical arrangement for several instrument groups. Even Soundbellows® alone as a homogeneous body of sound can produce a pleasant musical outcome.

Product Highlights:

  • Similar to handbells, boomwhackers or resonator bells in that you can play them as a choir.
  • Compatible with our color-coded songbooks.
  • Unlike bells that are played with a single strike, they have a sustain that allows you to play longer rhythms.
  • You can also do crescendo/decrescendos with the large sound bellows. Modulate the squeeze pressure to make longer notes.
  • They can be played a variety of ways-- on their side, standing upright, or held in hand by the wrist strap.
  • They can be inverted to save space for storage, but you can also play them when they are in their inverted mode (by that, I mean when the bottom end is squished in). You don't get as much air volume, but it does create a very stable base.
  • Although played in a manner similar to bells, these are more akin to melodicas, harmonicas, or accordions in the sense that there is a volume of air passing over a reed.
  • You can show rhythm patterns with the large sound bellows-- demonstrate how you can play a rhythm pattern.
  • It's a very soft and enjoyable to play silicone--- pliable, easy to control the air volume.
